CASA LIBRE

Dive Daily. Stay Your Way.

Casa Libre is our open training format. No fixed itinerary, no group schedule, no minimum stay. Just deep local cenotes, a depth session available every morning, and everything you need to train, recover, and settle into the rhythm of the jungle for as long as you like.

Where our retreats offer a structured program with a fixed group, Casa Libre is built around you. Come for two nights or two weeks. Train every morning or take a day off. Spend the afternoon in the pool, the gym, or a hammock. It's a homebase for certified freedivers who want access to real depth on their own terms.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A DAY AT CASA LIBRE

MORNINGS

Mornings start with light breakfast at the house, then a five-minute drive to the cenote. Most days that's Cenote Ucil, 90 meters deep, with clear water and calm conditions year-round. Now and then we change things up and train at a nearby 60-meter cenote. The depth session runs every day during Casa Libre dates. Rest days are your call.

AFTERNOONS & EVENINGS

After diving, the day is yours. Lunch, then pool training, gym time, a session in the ice bath, or a quiet afternoon with a book. Many guests use Casa Libre to train in the morning and work in the afternoon over our Starlink Wi-Fi. Dinner is shared at the house each night with whoever is around.

We keep Casa Libre small, with a maximum of six divers at a time, so the session is never crowded and the house stays calm.

MORE THAN DIVING

Freediving might bring you here but it’s not the only thing you’ll take away!

Each retreat includes time to explore the culture and history that make Yucatán so unique. Past excursions have included visiting Chichén Itzá, wandering the yellow town of Izamal, or learning how henequén (Sisal) rope is made by hand. Whether you’re out adventuring or relaxing back at Casa Apnea, we want you to leave feeling more connected – to yourself, the land, and the people who live here.
